One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned: The most important part of this sentence isn’t what comes after it. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.

I posted this story to my Instagram yesterday and the response was pretty crazy.
I heard from people who quit their jobs, got fired from jobs and even folks who had recently got divorced. They all had a major part of their identity changed and that exposed a lot of people for who they truly are. In the marketing world I love to change things and see what happens, but it’s wild when you change something in the real world and get to see what happens.
Some people I thought were my friends, are not and other folks I didn’t think were that close to me made incredible efforts to be there for me and then there are the friends who were there before and are still there even stronger today. A lot of people focus too much on the first group, but I choose to focus it all on the last two groups. I’m so thankful for you all and I didn’t even know how much until I stepped away.
