This is difficult to admit, but I’m feeling brave today, so here it is…

I’m not perfect and neither is my team… phew I said it! Acknowledging and preparing for those inevitable moments of imperfection is crucial.

This week, we made a mistake. Waking up to a partner's disappointed email was less than ideal.

Internally, our team member immediately took responsibility. We huddled as a team, discussed what went wrong, and devised adjustments to prevent a repeat.

Externally, we owned up to our mistake with our partner, explaining the misstep and outlining our corrective actions.

It's never fun, and I might hate it more than most 😬, but I've learned some of my most impactful lessons from mistakes over the years.
