I get asked a lot of questions about becoming an entrepreneur. Today for #nationalentrepreneursday, here are some answers:

Q. How did you know it was the right time?

A. It will never feel perfect, but you need to put in a ton of work upfront to be ready. The best you can hope for is to get that boat as close to the dock as possible before you jump on. Preparation will give you the confidence when it’s go time.

Q. Were you nervous to leave your job?

A. Hell yeah!!! Security is a wonderful feeling, but it’s replaced by exhilaration on the other side. Fear is natural and it doesn’t go away!

Q. What should I do if I want to do what you did?

A. Start. Stop talking and start doing. Stop going out during the week and stay home and WORK! Instagram posts show the highs and maybe some lows, but it’s impossible to document the WORK! (I’ve tried)

Q. Is it everything you hoped it would be?

A. And MORE! I love what we are doing and building. We are making differences in our partners’ businesses far beyond their brand and that’s insanely rewarding. Katie and I are in control of putting the right people into our world, from employees to partners, we are so fortunate to get to do this with all of them.
