Lesson learned as a Disney Cast Member
Observation
20 years ago when I was attending the police academy in central Florida, I picked up a part-time job working at Disney’s Hollywood Studio. Now all of these years later I returned with my family on vacation. So many memories rushed through my head, but what resonated the most were the simple lessons that I still continue to use in my life today.

1. It’s on you to make the experience special for every guest, because it’s somebody’s first time walking through those gates.
2. Every little detail matters. The simple act of pointing with one finger can be perceived as rude, make sure to point with two fingers.
3. Smile, you’re on stage. To this day, I take a moment and get my energy ready before I open the door.
There are so many more lessons that I learned from time there, but these three stood out most to me last week.
