Unpopular opinion: Sebastian Maniscalco isn't responsible for protecting hundreds of other comedians' income.

As we onboard several new employees this quarter, we knew we had to be ready to tell our story.
When Katie and I mapped out 2025 and beyond, we identified areas for improvement and realized that having our own office would help close those gaps.
One key adjustment? A structured onboarding experience.
🔹 Every new team member spends time with me to learn about:
✅ CUENTO (opens the CUENTO site in a new tab)’s history – (I love telling stories—no surprise there!)
✅ Our principles – Which have always existed but are now crystal clear.
✅ Our 2025 goals – So everyone is aligned from day one.
💡 Our Core Principles:
🚀 Expectation is EXCELLENCE
Excellence isn’t just a standard—it’s a skill that can be trained, learned, and mastered. You just have to want it.
🎨 CREATE an environment where CREATIVES can CREATE
This is exactly why we invested in our new office—to give our team the space, resources, and inspiration to do their best work.
⚖️ Debate. Decide. Deploy.
Too often, businesses get stuck in indecision and second-guessing.
Here’s how we approach it:
➡️ Everyone is heard and valued during the debate stage.
➡️ Once a decision is made, there’s no looking back.
➡️ Deploy the plan, execute, and then evaluate.
We don’t just live by these principles—we teach them to our partners and anyone willing to listen.
💭 What principles drive your team’s success?

Observation
We have a tendency in business to take people who are great at their jobs and eventually put people underneath them.

Observation
Earlier in my career, I completely misread one of the best leadership lessons I was being taught.

Observation
Apparently 1,234 unread emails is either a nightmare or completely normal.
