Evolve or Dissolve
Unpopular opinion: Sebastian Maniscalco isn't responsible for protecting hundreds of other comedians' income.
Observation
Not every decision deserves perfection.
Ron Fowler taught me one of the most useful operating principles of my career:
The 80% solution.
Get it damn close. Move on.
The easiest analogy is charging a phone or a Tesla battery.
The first 80% comes pretty quickly.
That final 20% can take forever.
Work can be the same way.
You can spend an enormous amount of time taking something from very good to marginally better while the rest of the business keeps moving around you.
That's not permission to put out mediocre work.
The objective still has to be accomplished at a high level.
But perfection has an opportunity cost.
Sometimes the best decision is to recognize that the work is damn close, ship it and put your time into the next thing.
