Some of my foundest memories with my Dad were going to work with him on the weekends.

With my kids on spring break this week, I offered Julia the opportunity to join me at work for the day and she actually said yes. Jules loves learning about business and is a giant Shark Tank and Marcus Lemonis fan. It was an awesome experience letting her sit in some real meetings yesterday and learning some valuable lessons along the way.

1. It’s important to be present. Sometimes someone just needs to chat and may be waiting for you to walk by to ask for some guidance.

2. You must really listen to others. There may be more to what they are sharing and it’s on you to be paying attention so you can truly help.

3. Find something you love to do and try and make it a career. When you and the people that you are around love what they do, it’s makes the day fly by!

And obviously she learned from being my kid that fun patters make everyone smile, so why not throw one one! Ha!
