Let's talk about INFLUENCERS

Everyone wants to talk about influencers, so I thought I would take a different look at those have influence on each of us and what impact that has on our day to day lives.

If you are truly trying to win in the game of Happiness, then you need to take a listen to the voices that are impacting your day. These voices can be friends, family, people you follow on Instagram, podcasts you listen to, coworkers, classmates... It’s important to pay attention to those voices because they all have influence in your life. They are your “influencers”!

When you audit those voices, pay attention to whether they are positive or negative, motivating or deflating. Ask yourself, do they want the same things that you want? They shouldn’t all be cheerleaders, but should all want you to succeed and achieve your goals! If you are following someone on Instagram and every time you see their post you feel bad about where you are in your journey... STOP FOLLOWING THEM! This is about you and your happiness. Influencers only have influence on you if YOU let them.

Awareness is a key component of happiness and the best awareness you can possess is... wait for it... SELF AWARENESS! Audit your influencers today and you will start to see the difference immediately! When you have room for new voice, ask your network for recommendations and add better voices.
