I saw this picture from last week’s The Gathering Summit and was so excited about this subject!
DJing was some of the best business training I have ever gone through and I love that more people are seeing the incredible work that is being done by DJs.
Here are my 6 favorite lessons I learned as a DJ that I still use today:
1. Build redundancy
2. You can learn anything on YouTube
3. Take control of a room
4. Follow the money
5. Choose your clients carefully
6. Versatility is key
There are so many lessons out there as long as you are open to learning from “non-traditional sources.”

A very important lesson that I learned as a DJ was to always choose my clients carefully!

The interaction between a DJ and their crowd is a masterclass in awareness. You need to have strong self awareness, while also possessing a firm grip on situational awareness to ensure the audience is buying what you are selling.
